Dream mysterious

A Dream -- Tuesday 18 August

I'm sitting on the windowsill of my Islington flat, surrounded by a halo of soft, golden light. The air is thick with the scent of Earl Grey and bergamot, like Winifred's morning routine has followed me into this dream. Archimedes purrs contentedly at my feet, his eyes fixed on some invisible point in space as he gazes up at the stars twinkling through the window. Outside, the canal stretches out like a shimmering ribbon, reflecting the colors of the sunset – partly cloudy skies, warm oranges and pinks bleeding into the twilight. My fingers wander across the surface of my vintage mod jacket, tracing the intricate patterns etched into its fabric. I feel a sudden urge to take up my bike and ride along the canal's towpath, the rhythmic motion of pedaling synchronized with the beat of Archimedes' purring.
